west union gardens has sent you a group email from Tri-County Farms.
This is Cheryl from West Union Gardens. This is sort of a test of a new feature of our website -- a page where you can contact all the members of our organization! There are a few items here which are of interest to you, so please read this all the way through!
First, I wanted to let you know that if you did not attend the Annual Meeting, your Guides will be distributed soon. I will probably email some of you individually about that, but if you don't hear from me again about that, you can assume that a bundle of Guides will show up at your doorstep -- of your farm listing location, that is. (If no one is around because your farmstore is not open yet, Steve will put them somewhere out of the weather, so you will find them tucked away somewhere.) A few of you may need to pick up yours at a member's farm in your area to save our distribution guy some time and miles, and I'll give you a separate call or email if that is the case.
Second, we had a great Farm Tour and Annual Meeting in April -- many thanks to our President, Debi Wyckoff for organizing an interesting day and evening. For your information, the members in attendance nominated and elected new board members. Your new board members are Darla Baggenstos (Baggenstos Farms), Dave Cacka (Roses at Riverside), Amanda Hoyt (Soggy Feet Enterprises), and Harold Vance (Tom's Berry Patch). The members also voted to renew the terms of Jim Kessinger (Plumper Pumpkin Patch), Justy Papst (Justy's Produce), and myself (Cheryl Boden, West Union Gardens). The entire list of board members will be posted soon on the Meetings page under Member Forums.
You can find the Member Forums pages and the Contact All Farmers at the bottom of the Home Page when you are logged in.
Lastly, we welcome two new members this year: Blooming Junction in Cornelius, and Blue Bee Farms on Sauvie Island. (Blue Bee has joined us after the printing of the Guide -- if you know someone who wants to join, they can do that any time. Just put them in touch with me.)
For now, best wishes for a great season!
-Cheryl Boden, West Union Gardens (Secretary and "registrar" of new members)
