The orchards, vines and fields are asleep, but the work doesn’t stop for winter on the farm! However, the pace of work in the winter allows us time to look back and to look forward. We make our rounds feeding the animals, taking seed inventory, keeping the greenhouses free of snow weight, and pruning the orchards and blueberry rows. We service our equipment in preparation for spring work, attend association meetings and educational seminars. As we work, we are thinking back to seasons and lessons learned, and looking forward to the coming spring when the farm will awaken to growth and activity.
