Fall is here! Some of our farmers are putting away their harvest tools and equipment, but for others, harvest is in full swing! Apple orchards are brimming with delicious fruit, and many are hosting harvest festivals. There are pumpkin patches where you’ll find pumpkins of all sizes and shapes for carving, others for baking, plus plenty of fall decorative corn, gourds, and more. Some of the pumpkin patches are full of activities for the family – corn mazes, hayrides, animals to see, and other festivities. Other farms simply offer you a field full of pumpkins that you can stroll through to find your favorites – either way, don’t forget your camera!
When the calendar turns to November, many farmstores remain open – keep us in mind as you plan your fall feasts. Call before you head out, as hours are likely to be different than they were earlier in the year.
