There is nothing better than sinking your teeth into some of the most tender and flavorful cuts of beef that you have ever had. Here at Pierce Family Ranch we take great pride in offering our customers that experience when eating our beef. We raise Wagyu Angus beef. Never heard of Wagyu? It is a breed of cattle originally imported from Japan that are known for their natural marbling creating a one of a kind flavor when they mature. Not only is it wonderful to eat, but it’s healthy for you too. Health experts have discovered the mono-unsaturated to saturated fat ratio is higher in Wagyu then in other beef and, the saturated fat contained in Wagyu is different. Forty percent is in a version called stearic acid, which is regarded as having a minimal impact in raising cholesterol levels. The profile of marbled Wagyu beef is more beneficial and healthier to human health. We breed our Wagyu bull to our Angus cows and come up with the Wagyu Angus cross. They don’t have as much marbling as the full Wagyu breed but many of our customers are very pleased with the beef that they have purchased. We started doing this cross 5 years ago and have built up our herd to be able to supply beef shares of this amazing cross of beef to our customers. Our beef is pasture raised and free to roam on green grass. No growth hormones, steroids or grains are given to our cattle. Right now our cattle are on summer pastures eating fresh green grass and enjoying the sun. We have dates set on our calendar all the way thru this fall. Visit our website at www.thepiercefamilyranch.com and check out our harvest dates. You will find our harvest calendar under the products tab, while you are on the website you can also check out all the other meats that we have to offer, Pork Shares, Turkey, chicken and eggs. All our meats are pasture raised and GMO free. No corn or soy is in the feed that we give to the chickens or the pigs. We also have a farm store located on the ranch and offer many different cuts of USDA meats and we offer Beef and Pork variety packs. Go to our website, check us out. You won’t be disappointed.
We have a Wagyu Angus steer that is scheduled to go in May 10th. There are two quarter shares or one half share that is available for purchase on this steer. You will get to talk directly with the butcher on how you want your meats cut and how many steaks per package that fits your needs.
