Now that we are more than half way through the summer, it is time to start thinking about stocking up the freezers for fall! Here at the Pierce Family Ranch, we strive to raise quality meats to offer to our customers.

Our Wagyu/Angus cattle are free to roam our pastures, eating lots a delicious pesticide free grass as well as hay when the grass is scarce. No antibiotics, growth hormones or grains are ever given to our cattle. What is Wagyu, you ask? Have you heard of the Japanese Kobe beef? Wagyu is a breed from Japan- the same way that Angus or Long Horn are breeds. Kobe is from the specific cattle that are raised in Kobe that get a specialized treatment to help enhance the marbling of the beef, thus increasing the meats flavor. The American Wagyu came from the Japanese Wagyu breed. Our Wagyu/Angus meat is tender and has nice marbling, giving it extra flavor!

We have beef shares available for purchase throughout the rest of this year. The next harvest dates are August 7th, which we have either one 1/2 share and 1/4 quarter share or three 1/4 shares available, and August 21st which is available in whole, 1/2 or 1/4 shares. At $3.50/hanging plus the cost of butcher fees, you are able to speak directly to the butcher to get your cutting instructions exactly to your liking. Got questions? Ask away! We are here to help! We do ask for a non-refundable deposit to secure your share, price varying on what size share you want to get.

It is difficult to start thinking about Thanksgiving turkeys already however now is the time to pre-order your turkey before we sell out! We have sold out on our turkeys way before Thanksgiving two years in a row! We still have 34 turkeys available. With two scheduled harvest dates, you are able to choose which one suits your needs. There is one harvest date in October, for those wanting a turkey on the smaller side and do not mind having it frozen (they freeze really well, by the way). There is also a harvest date the week of Thanksgiving, which means you will be able to have a fresh turkey, however there is a good chance it will be on the bigger side too. At $4.75/lb, these turkeys will make a great addition to your Thanksgiving feast! We do ask for a $30 non-refundable deposit to secure your turkey.

More information about our products can be found on our website at www.thepiercefamilyranch.com. There is also a harvest calendar to help you choose which date works best for you as well as being able to place an order and make your deposit. Contact us with any questions you may have. We would love to help you out in choosing what meats to try out!
