Morning Shade Farm is open for U-pick blueberries (Duke, Sierra, Olympia, Nelson, Darrow, and Toro), currants (black, red and white), gooseberries, raspberries, boysenberries, and thornless marionberries! No unnatural, synthetic sprays on our berries. All U-pick berries are $2.40 per pound. We also have u-pick elderberry flowers (2 clusters for $1), pure blueberry juice ($10/qt), blueberry flower honey ($13/pint) and fruit popsicles ($2).
We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm (closed Monday and Tuesday except for order pickups). U-pick elderberries and orchard fruit start in early August, and hardy kiwi berries and juice grapes start in September.
Fresh picked blueberries, cleaned of stems and green berries, can be ordered for pickup at www.morningshadefarm.com or by calling the farm and leaving a message at 503-651-2622. We also have them already frozen from this seasons pick. Picked blueberry prices are $32 per 10 lb bag (about 13 pints), or $31 each bag for 100 lbs or more, $30 per bag for 300 lbs or more, $29 per bag for 500 lbs or more, $28 for 1000 lbs or more. Unprocessed blueberries straight from the field are $2.70 per pound (minimum of 200 lbs).
Fresh picked and frozen sweet, smoothy blueberries (slightly smaller average fruit size than our standard fresh pick blueberries) great for smoothies, baking, jams, and juice are only $30 per 10 lb bag. Fresh picked boysenberries are $40 a 12 pint flat. Fresh picked or frozen black currants are $24 for 5 lb bag. Morning Shade Farm is located at 8345 S. Barnards Road, 7 miles south of Canby (30 miles south of Portland). We have flush toilets and hand wash facilities. We have buckets to pick into with plastic bag inserts to take your berries home in or you can bring your own containers. We prefer cash, checks, or debit cards but also accept credit cards and WIC/FDNP food vouchers.
