At West Union Gardens, we are partnering with Sacred Organics to host our Third Annual Garlic Mini-Festival on Friday & Saturday, August 19th & 20th.

Josh has been growing specialty garlic since 1999, and he will be here with over a dozen varieties from this year’s beautiful crop for you to see and purchase. Come and learn about the different types of garlic and their subspecies originating from all over the world. Do you want to plant your own garlic? When is the best time to plant, and how do we know it’s ready to harvest?  This is a great chance to talk with an expert!

On Saturday the “Jalm Guys” will be here with lots of the amazing “Big Jalm” preserves that they make from local fruit, including our own berries.

And speaking of “jamming,” we’ll have two local bands playing on Saturday! The Turning Point will be playing from around 11am to 1pm. They play an eclectic and fun mix of classic rock, country, gospel, blues, and folk. Then Nick Deetz & Friends will be playing classic rock beginning at around 2pm.

Bring along your picnic lunch and a picnic blanket!

The garlic event will run from 8am to 8pm on both days.
