VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY 10AM-12PM
From 10am-12pm, we’ll have lots of ways to get your hands dirty and learn about Organic farming! Open to young and old. We’ll be working on projects around the farm, from mulching to preparing our flower garden for the summer. Be ready to get dirty, wear sturdy shoes and pants, and bring gloves if you can. We’ll provide the tools and fun!
SUSTAINABILITY FAIR 12PM-4PM
Local group Sustainable Parrett Mountain will host tables about Solar Energy, Creating wildlife habitat on your property, Reducing waste, Wells and Water conservation, and Pasture Management. This is members of our local community sharing real-world experience on a huge variety of topics — no sales pitches, just honest neighbor-to-neighbor information sharing.The Xerces Society will have a table about invertebrate conservation and reducing reliance on pesticides as well.
E-WASTE COLLECTION 12PM-4PM
Contribute to closed loop recycling of e-waste: the materials extracted help create a circular supply chain for critical minerals like nickel, cobalt, lithium and copper! Clean out your junk drawers and bring in your old phones, tablets or laptops, used Lithium-ion or NiCad batteries, vapes, etc. for transport to a recycling center.
