Morning Shade Farm is open for U-pick blueberries (Olympia, Nelson, Darrow, Brigitta, and Aurora), black currants and thornless blackberries. There are no unnatural, synthetic sprays on our berries. All U-pick berries are $2.40 per pound. We also have pure blueberry juice ($9/qt), blueberry flower honey ($24/ qt, $13/pint) and fruit popsicles ($2) at the farm stand.
We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm (closed Monday and Tuesday except for order pickups).
Fresh picked blueberries, cleaned of stems and green berries, can be ordered for pickup at www.morningshadefarm.com or by calling the farm and leaving a message at 503-651-2622. We also have them already frozen from this seasons pick for the same price.
Picked blueberry prices are $32 per 10 lb bag (about 13 pints), or $31 each bag for 100 lbs or more, and $30 per bag for 300 lbs or more.
Frozen sweet, smoothy blueberries (slightly smaller berries than our standard fresh pick blueberries) great for smoothies, baking, jams, and juice are only $30 per 10 lb bag.
Frozen black currants are $24 for 5 lb bag and frozen elderberries are $25 per 5 lb bag.
Morning Shade Farm is located at 8345 S. Barnards Road, 7 miles south of Canby (30 miles south of Portland). Apples, pears, Asian pears, and elderberries will be starting soon. Hardy kiwis start in early September. See more information at http://www.canby.com/morningshade
