About Bays Family Farm

We have many varieties of peaches, nectarines, apples, plums and pears available for U-Pick in season. Fruit trees can be picked from the ground. We also have Christmas trees available for u-cut, when in season. Call for availability and open days. Location: Go to the north end of Banks, from the Shell gas station go due west on Cedar Canyon Rd for 1/2 mile. Follow the signs to our farm.

We try to answer the phone or keep the phone message updated while fruit is in season.

We always recommend calling the day you plan to come out to make sure we are open.

Update - November 17, 2018

U-Cut Christmas Trees

Opening Friday November 23 and will be open all weekends (Saturday and Sunday) until Christmas.

Hours; 9 am to 4 pm

Open only by appointment Monday through Friday - - call and make arrangements before coming out.

Noble Fir 3' to 8' trees available good selection

Nordmann Fir 3' to 18' trees available good selection of most sizes

Shaker and Baling usually available on normal sized trees. Big or fat trees might not go through our baler.

The local elk herd has ended our apple and pear U-Pick season.

The elk do not seem to like Pineapple Quince so U-pick is still available on that.

CORRECTION Elk prefer apples & pears but when they are gone will eat quince. About a dozen or so are still left at the center of the tree.

We will be open Nov 17, 2018 (9 am to 4 pm) with picked fruit in our cooler. We have many varieties of apples available including:

  • Gingergold
  • Honeycrisp
  • Jonagold & Rubinstar Jonagold
  • Ashmead Kernal,
  • Fuji & Auvil Fuji
  • Newton Pippin

We have small quantities of many other varieties such as Pixie Crunch, Cox Orange Pippin, Queen Cox, Bel de Boscoop, Calville Blanc de Sonnaville, Mutsu, Northern Spy, Criterion, Red Gravenstein, Pristine, Hazen, Spitzenberg, Sansa.

Unfortunately the elk enjoyed all of the Stayman Winesap, Morning Mist Fuji, Braeburn, Granny Smith, Hidden Rose, Akane and Pink Lady apples. They also really like Fuyu Persimmons. These varieties will not be available this year. They also finished off the Auvil Fuji just when they reached their peak ripeness so quantities are very limited.

At some point we will put up a deer and elk fence. We have the materials just need to find the time.

Go to the north end of Banks. From the Shell gas station, go due west on Cedar Canyon Road for ½ mile. Go straight up the gravel driveway at the first hill. Follow the signs to our farm.
