Many of our customers await the arrival of the Veteran Peach.  They are now ready for picking.  There is a very large crop on the trees.  They are great for canning, smoothies, fresh eating, pies, you name it!  The trees are loaded with peaches this year and lots of them are at ground level where children can help harvest.  (Easy for the rest of us too!)

Elberta peaches have been the “go to” peach for many families over the years.  Besides fresh eating, Elberta’s are great for canning.  We made a fresh peach pie this week that was to die for so they are good for that too.

The Harken and Reliance peaches are very similar to the Veterans.  We did our own “blind” taste test and couldn’t tell them apart!  Come give them a try and see what you think.

All u-pick peaches will be $2.00 per pound.  If you purchase over 50 pounds of fruit you will receive a 10% discount.  Come with your family and friends and enjoy our beautiful short orchard.

If you are unable to pick your own fruit, we are always willing to pick for you.  Pre-picked peaches are in 11 pound boxes for $30.  Just send a text to 503.313.1346 and order however many boxes you need.  Please order at least 24 hours before you want to pick them up.  We don’t keep an inventory of pre-picked peaches.
Free Fruit Club
A new Feature at the orchard this year is our free fruit club.  Pick up a card with your next purchase and you’ll get 5 pounds of free fruit after 5 purchases.

Apples
Next up are Honeycrisp and Gravenstein apples.  The hot weather this coming week will probably finish the ripening of the Gravensteins.  We’ll send an email when they are ready.  Honeycrisp will be shortly after that.

Pears

The Bartlett pears will also likely finish their ripening in the upcoming heat.  Watch you email for an announcement.

There is also a beautiful crop this year of Moonglow, Bosc and Comice
